Annie Armstrong Missions Emphasis
Annual week of Prayer for North American Missions is March 4-11, 2012. This year, five missionaries representing thousands of missionaries serving throughout the United States, Canada and their territories are spotlighted. The other three days focus on ways Southern Baptists are reaching the lost in North America.
- Day 1: Send North America. Pray for church planters and sending churches.
- Day 2: Shaun and Deshni Pilay, Connecticut. Church planter/pastor reaching international and homeless.
- Day 3: Jason and Kimberley McGibbon, Canada. Church planter seeking to begin a new church in the downtown urban/arts community near Toronto.
- Day 4: Josh and Tiffany Lenon, Ohio. Church planter/pastor of Red Door Church where members are encouraged to do whatever it takes to bring people to Christ.
- Day 5: Derek and Sharla Osburn, New Mexico. Church planter/pastor in a rural community with a large population of Air Force personnel.
- Day 6: Daniel and Karina Egipciaco, Florida. Training church planters in South Florida.
- Day 7: Equipping the Next Generation. Short-term missionaries who serve by doing.
- Day 8: "Love Loud." Missionaries who "love loud" through service such as community, literacy, resort, seafarer, sports evangelism and pregnancy care.

Bible Training Center for Pastors
Courses offered for pastors, ministry staff, lay-leaders or anyone interested in a 3-year, college-level education (non-accredited). Held on Monday evenings at First Baptist Jonesboro. Classes offered in Spanish and English. Accredited courses are now offered through Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lao and Thai. Interested persons (men and women) can join at any time. Couples Conference March 17
Clint and Penny Bragg will speak at a Couples Conferences on Saturday, March 17, 9 am to 2 pm, at First Baptist Church of Jonesboro (Fellowship Hall). The Braggs serve as marriage missionaries and share testimony of their marriage reconciliation following an 11-year divorce and a 3,000-mile coast-to-coast separation. Today they teach seminars for couples and equip ministry leaders across the nation. They have told their story on multiple TV and radio stations.

Disciple Now at FBC Fayetteville
March 9-11. FBC Fayetteville will hold a weekend of discipleship, encouragement and fellowship. Bible studies will be held in each home and taught by various guest leaders. Youth will also join for praise and worship services throughout the weekend. Cost is $50 before March 4 or $60 after March 4. GBC Women's Event
An inspirational women's event with a variety of conferences to encourage and equip women for Bible study, prayer, missions, community building and evangelism. April 27-28, 2012, Callaway Garden, Pine Mountain, Georgia. Conference begins at 9 am Friday and concludes Saturday at 2:30 pm. Cost is $90 per person if registered by March 13. Regular rate is $100 per person. Price includes four meals and all worship sessions and conferences. Prayer and Lunch at First Baptist Fayetteville on Tuesday, March 8
South Metro Baptist Association pastors and ministry staff are invited to attend the monthly prayer and lunch on Tuesday, March 8 at 11:30 am. The event will be held at First Baptist Church Fayetteville, 205 East Stonewall Avenue, Fayetteville. Pastors will also be able to sign-up for a monthly prayer and lunch at their own church at this time.

Prison Ministry Update
Please note that Metro State Prison for Women is closed. Due to the closing we can no longer accept missions material, however we can still accept Sunday School literature, Christian magazines and paperback Bible study books for the Men's Diagnostic Center and Clayton County Jail. Prom Dress Give Away at FBC Lovejoy
First Baptist Lovejoy is asking for donated prom dresses and accessories for an outreach to Lovejoy High School. Clean, previously worn formal dress free of tears or stains, earrrings, bracelets, necklaces, dress shoes, evening bags and wraps may to brought to the church on Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1. Recharging Your Sunday School Workshop
February 25, 7:30 am - 12:30 pm at Anointed Vision of Hope, 8049 Webb Road, Riverdale. Presenters are Charles Grant, Church Consultant and Jay Wells, Direction of LifeWay Black Church Relations. ReFRESH in the Smokies
Pastors and church ministry staff (and their spouse) of SMBA churches are encouraged to attend ReFRESH in the Smokies, a time of inspiration and encouragement on March 5-7, 2012 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Speakers include Michael Catt, Pastor of Sherwood Baptist; Ken Jenkins, Bible teacher and photographer; Tom Eliff, President of the International Mission Board; Ed Litton, Pastor of First Baptist North Mobile; and Daniel Simmons, Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Albany.
